Psychotherapy 2.0

I practice in a way that is not traditional and of late is mostly professionals in business and the arts who come for short-term treatment and find their lives vastly improved. The old-school model is to look backwards. It’s like driving a car looking in the rearview mirror. In therapy if we focus mostly on what happened, we are reinforcing a traumatic vision of yourself. That makes it harder to shift things in your life.

My method looks forward. We'll talk about the past, of course, but in how it’s landing in the present. And with this, my patients are able to make changes, often in a matter of months, not years. Common themes in the work include relationship issues, work, adjustment, spiritual and/or family.

I am a Licensed Psychotherapist, educated at New York University, Georgetown University and the University of Maryland. My approach is based on psychodynamic psychotherapy. I draw on a range of modalities depending on your individual need, including cognitive-behavioral therapy. To discuss further, get in touch for a consultation.
